If you had a choice

If you had a choice, would you want all the commercialism in our society? Would you change jobs? Spend your time with the people and things that matter?

If you had a choice, what would you do differently?

One thing I love about our one and only God-He gives us all free will. We have choices that we can make without His goodness to guide us. People make choices that uplift or harm others. Yet God gave us free will.

The thing that amazes me about this is that He has the power to treat us like little chess pieces. But He doesn't. God allows us to make millions of choices in our lives. When we ask for guidance, He gives it. But He's so aware that the gift of free will means WE make the choices that He won't force His way in. Sometimes I wish he would.

So, you have choices. What will you do with them? Will you look to Someone wiser or will you go it alone?

As for me, I will strive to ask God to guide me. I don't have His wisdom and experience yet:-)

And praise God He doesn't fault us for our bad choices. He forgives us and helps us grow. What an example of parenting.
