What a day!

I'm thrilled to share that I met my Weight Watcher's goal! Today it was official. I've lost 25 lbs and 5 sizes. I have a new charm for my keychain and a new accomplishment. What do I do now? I look forward to learning how to maintain it. I find a way to learn to continue. This actually scared me for a long time. I thought if I went off the points that helped me lose weight, then I would just gain weight. I'm realizing that I'm not going to be abandoned. Weight Watcher's doesn't do that. I'm very thankful. They are going to keep walking with me so that I can learn how to stay healthy.

One mistake a lot of folks make is quitting Weight Watcher's after they've lost their weight. The leaders in our group encourage us to keep going every week for a year minimum to learn how to live at our lower weight through all the stresses, holidays, and special occassions. I'm going to take that advice. And then I'm going to keep checking in every month on my Life Time membership. Why? Because I learned that I need the accountability. I think that's the best thing I learned in the 7 months it took me-that accountability is as important to me. It helps me to continue to connect with other people and to encourage other people.

Once we achieve something, we need to help another person do the same.

Thank you for visiting today. If you are working on weight loss, keep going. You can do it too:-)

Angie,

I'm so proud of you! You have really done a splendid job considering all the things you've been through lately.

My husband informed me that he has lost 22 lbs. His goal is a total 70 lbs. I'm praying for him and enjoying the new self-esteem I see in him. I know he can do it.

This is exciting for your hubby:-) Thank you for your encouragement. I just started the "maintenance" program. It's exciting because after 3 months of no real workout from my ribs being separated, I think it might be easier since I can do some excercise now. I've gone swimming and for a couple of good, solid walks. The walks are my favorite when I can have a great conversation for an hour with a friend or family member. Walking in the mountains is such a blessing. I'm not looking at downtown buildings, I'm watching eagles and horses out in the country. It's a good thing.
