I love the concept of seeking to be aware of the "thin places" throughout our lives. Such concepts take stories like this one from being about how one is a victim to being about how God has been at work in one's life, even through tremendously difficult circumstances. To me, this is part of how we make meaning of the very hard things we experience. Another way, as mentioned above, is telling our stories and using our life experiences to help others who are facing similar circumstances. Stories such as this one offer hope and perspective that are so vital to healing and health. True stories are so powerful and readers connect with them so differently than they do with fiction, no matter how compelling the fictional story is.
Carmella Broome
Author of Carmella's Quest:Taking On College Sight Unseen (Red Letter Press 2009)
http://CarmellasQuest.LiveJournal.comAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36974705.post-59493791212487589802010-02-10T16:39:09.885-07:002010-02-10T16:39:09.885-07:00Mary's words are a blessing to all who read th...Mary's words are a blessing to all who read them.

Carma
http://carmaswindow.blogspot.com
http://peaceofmindcarma.blogspot.comCarma Dutrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13552905128829205617noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36974705.post-6312178367254800232010-02-10T13:35:32.662-07:002010-02-10T13:35:32.662-07:00Thanks Jinnia! Thanks Jinnia!Mary DeMuthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06102710597183711588noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36974705.post-61009868963765834052010-02-10T12:07:55.638-07:002010-02-10T12:07:55.638-07:00This takes so much courage...thank you for sharing...This takes so much courage...thank you for sharing.Jinnia Lowhttp://jinnialow.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36974705.post-55284251833055659602010-02-10T11:20:26.904-07:002010-02-10T11:20:26.904-07:00I'm so glad to have the opportunity to help pe...I'm so glad to have the opportunity to help people with your book too.
